A mask is an important decision. Choose the right one.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before purchasing respiratory protection masks, check that they meet the criteria below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. For FFP2 masks<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The respiratory protection mask has the CE marking followed by a four-digit number of the notified body. Example: CE 0082.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Do not forget to check that the notified body is a laboratory accredited by the European Commission. You can check with the four-digit number on the following site: https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/tools-databases\/nando\/index.cfm?fuseaction=directive.notifiedbody&dir_id=155501<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The mask packaging contains the CE marking and the four-digit number as well as the number of the standard EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009 (not EN149 only) and the address of the manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A copy of the declaration of conformity is supplied with the product or, the website address where the declaration of conformity can be consulted.
    The masks must also mention the class to which they belong (FFP1, FFP2 or FFP3) followed by a single space, then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • \u201cNR\u201c, if the use of the filtering half-mask against particles is limited to one shift (example: FFP2 NR);
      \u201cR\u201d, if the filtering half-mask against particles is reusable (example: FFP2 R);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The packaging and the declaration of conformity should have the same name of the manufacturer and the same company address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      2. For KN95 masks<\/em><\/strong>
      In this case, they must mention the following inscriptions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • GB2626-2019 KN95;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • the brand as well as the type and model (if applicable).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        To verify the compliance of these masks, a test report from a Chinese laboratory accredited to test the masks according to Chinese standard GB2626-2019 is required. These laboratories are included on the list established by the Chinese authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
